In-store theatre is often discussed but rarely achieved. Enter Sundan Life. Our exciting and dramatic flagship proposition and concept for this Chinese retailer truly puts compelling customer experiences and joined up storytelling at the heart of everything it does.  
​
A completely new store proposition and experience needed to shift perception away from that of a mass-market store selling commoditised products, and towards a lifestyle-led premium offer that targets more affluent consumers.
​
It’s all about letting customers try out the products in ‘real life’ environments to understand their benefits in situ: playing a guitar riff in the music room, interactive golf games to test the latest clubs, taking photos with high-end cameras in the photo studio, and much more.
​
In addition to defining experiential areas, store planning/flow, and the identity, our merchandising and store design principles are based around simplicity, authenticity, and bravery.
ATTICA DEPARTMENT STORE
Athens | Greece

Attica is the leading fashion destination in Greece, a one-stop-shop for exclusive designer brands. They FF group were opening a new 5,000sqm  department store in Thessaloniki. Their 3d in Greece.

I was appointed to design the Womens Accessories, Multibag,  Seasonal & Mens Departments. The project required all design  and project managment of the works.

The success of these led to implementing these designs into their existing stores in Attica Athens & Golden Hall and adding areas such as Luggage & Accessories & Watches Departments.

MEDIA STROM | GREECE

Since 1967, and with 115 stores across Greece, Media Strom is and 100% Greek Owned company anf the leading bed & matress manufacturere.

​

In 2017, Media Strom decided it was time for a refresh & rebrand.  From the logo to their online presence, below the line advertising and most importantly their physical retail presence.

Working closely with their advertising company  I was called in to create the new  retail strategy, customer flows and final image for the mattress store of the future.  

From customer interviews to market research the new concept has now been finalised in their Kifissias Main Flagship Store with great success.

HOUSE OF FRASER DEPARTMENT STORE | UK​

KKD has been working closely with the HOF brand for years creating a near-total change of all stores across the UK.

​

Working with another team member we designed and implemented the new concept of Menswear, Accessories, Shoes, Lifestyle & Fashion to Formal Wear for existing stores such as Oxford street & Glasgow and all new HOF department stores in High Wycombe, Bristol and Westfield.

From zonal plans to sketches and drawings  for the Oxford Street store we further enhanced a sense of spaciousness ,creating a lighter, airier, more open store, with a new escalator system and atriums across all floors.

PLAISIO ELECTRONIC STORE | GREECE

​

Plaisio has 22 stores all around Greece and is the leading electronics brand in the country.

With departments such as Mobiles, Camera, TV, Gaming, Stationery, Art & Home for the past 3 years we have redesigned all departments and areas across all 22 stores in Greece.

After close surveying, and a very tight schedule  the concept originally implemented in the flagships stores was then rolled out across Greece.

​

New categories were also created such Toys & books, increasing foothall and putting Plaisio as the number 1  multi-brand retailer.

​

Redesigning their offices, reception, and even the staffs tshirts, the brand essence has been carried across all areas.

SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT | BANGKOK

Suvarnabhumi Airport offers duty free shopping for liquor, tobacco, perfume, cosmetics, fashion, watches, pens, lighters, accessories and costume jewelry, skincare and aromatherapy, toys, electronics and confectionery.
​
As a Senior Designer I was part of a team to design 84 stores across the airport working on a very tight schedule. My brief was to design  the Eyglass store, World Wide Watches, Food & Wine and other such concepts. From naming, to concept straight through to the interior fit out.
